Olivia Sarfo, a trader in "Kente" cloth, calls herself a good planner and has been in this business for the past three years. Kente is a traditional cloth of the Asanti people and each design carries a unique message from whoever is wearing it. Olivia buys her kente cloth from weavers in her community for sale in Accra, the capital city of Ghana. She has a vision of establishing a Kente boutique in Accra where she will have assess to a bigger market for her business. Olivia is the leader of 'Asomdwei Wura' group which literally means " a peaceful person" in Twi, a widely spoken language in Ghana. The group is comprised of 11 members mostly in the trade of Kente cloth, smoked fish, or working as food vendors. They hope to use this loan to expand their businesses.
